Crashin Down
” Oh, you know I don’t like him like that!,”
” Yeah, you do, just admit it!”
“No, can’t girls and boys be best friends!!”
”I don’t”
“You do”
“Whatever”
“Bye”
“See ya”
Sierra just finished having the most annoying conversation with her best friend, Natalie. He knew that her and Brian were best friends. They had been for 6 years minus 6 months when they were extremely mad at each other. But she quickly stopped thinking about that and started thinking about her trip to California. Sweet California. Where she would have no worries, no drama, no more disgusting scents of raw fish when ever she wanted to step outside her house. She lived near a restaurant that mostly sold sea-fish. Taste yummy, smells ewwwwwwww! One problem about the trip. Well actually two problems. Her mom and her dad. She loved them so much but she wished they loved each other as much as she loved them. Why didn’t they get divorced? They wanted to stay together for the sake of their only child, Sierra. Those problems didn’t really bother Sierra now. All that was on her mind was the learning the surf the waves of Cali and to meet celebrities that hang out in California.
“Bye, I’ll miss you Sierra”
“Bye, don’t have too much fun without me Natalie”
“Bye, Sierra!!” screamed all of Sierra’s friends at the airport.
Sierra walked up to where her parents were waiting for her. She took my last look at her friends. Not knowing that this would be the last time she would get to see her friends with a smile on her face.
On the plane.
“Why do you always have to bring this up at the worst possible time ever , Daniel,”
“Because we need to talk about it instead of avoiding it, Charlene”
” But we never talk about this. You always yell about it,”
” Dag it Charlene!! You haven’t seen me yell yet!”
“Here comes the screaming fest.” Sierra thought to herself. Knowing this she just put on her headphones and listened to the soulful sound of Alicia Keys. It wasn’t soon til the flight attendant came to hush her parents. 8 hours passed and Sierra has already slept and now she was awake. Everything was all clam and peaceful until the plane enter through the clouds of a nearby storm. On word describes the next 30 minutes. Turbulence. Really, really bad turbulence.
As the plane passed swiftly through the Rocky Mountains it could not avoid the dark puffy clouds that were silently waiting for it. Waiting to disrupt the peacefulness and serenity on the plane. At least the serenity that was everywhere on the plane excerpt where Sierra was. As Sierra’s parents were about starting round 2 of their shouting match. The plane started shaking violently. All Sierra could hear is the muffled sound of the pilot saying their was going to be some turbulence. That is when very thing went dark. The luggage were falling out of their compartments. Sierra quickly took off her necklace knowing that it could choke her to death. Everything around become a swirling vortex. Thourgh the window you could see the image of the mountains coming closer and closer.
