As you know the genocide in Darfur is still going on. Its been about 5 years and nothing new is happening, some people in Darfur say. The government still continues its successful attacks for the Darfurians. They are lying to the world by trying to disguise themselves by painting their planes white like the planes the UN uses to carry food and water to the survivors. All the attacks have likely not have been targeted for the rebels but towards the civilians that reside in the villages. The government is trying to eliminate them from society. They first drop bombs in the villages and then raid the villages like stealing loot, burning down huts and killing anyone that survived the bombs. The people of Darfur are being tortured. It is ruthless and terrible how some young girls are being raped by government soldiers. Since 2003 an estimated number of about 200,000 dead and 2,400,000 left to be homeless. The Sudanese government remaines untouched by the comments made by fellow US celebrities and Sudan’s trading partner, the Chinese government. When is this madness of mass killings, rapes and bombing going to stop?! It might not stop anytime soon due to the fact that UN peacekeepers might have to pull out of Darfur because of the increasing violence. The 2 billion dollar investment on the UN peacekeepers is in trouble because of the security issues that concern the peacekeepers in Darfur. There is some good news though other countries like Ethiopia, Nigeria, and China have considered sending their troops and peacekeepers to help the cause. But the peacekeepers there that need to get out need helicopters for the transportation. The Sudanese Government has recently launched an attack against the peaceful mission. Causing and uproar and an outrage in many countries. Remember the Darfurians are people too and deserve the right to live in peace like we do and it is our global responsibility.
